It was just a commendable fit for a swift visit in Eastbourne with fantastic value for money. The Christmas pudding was the smallest pudding I’ve ever had but it was a fun novelty experience. Keep an eye on the menu descriptions to avoid surprises.

The character of this historic establishment shines through its charming public rooms with warm fireplaces and a delightful atmosphere. Enjoyed a fantastic full English breakfast and lovely staff that made the experience all the more personal. the absence of a lift and the somewhat quirky room layouts could be a downside for some guests, especially those with mobility concerns or seeking modern convenience.

The Lamb is a proper gem! The locally brewed Harvey's Ale was top-notch, and the lively bar atmosphere made for a brilliant evening. Plus, with nearby gems like The Prince Albert and Cafe Aroma just a stone's throw away, your taste buds will thank you.
But a cheeky critique, the shower could have been a bit fresher, and the bed's underworld could use a vacuum now and then.

I really enjoyed my stay here as the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I was made to feel very welcome, with plenty of lovely eateries just a short stroll away, including a cozy café less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel and Motcombe Gardens only 500 meters away for a beautiful park view.

We enjoyed our stay at this charming old pub, where the character of the building really added to our experience. The kids had a blast, and we appreciated the delicious breakfast offered. A memorable moment was hanging out at quiz night with the lively atmosphere and friendly folks. Staying with my sister made it even more special.
For dads, it would be great if the rooms had better sound insulation from the street noise.

Had an awesome stay with friends! We loved the historic features, and the bar was great for relaxing evenings. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. Plus, its location near the town center made it easy to explore local spots and enjoy fun quiz nights. Totally recommend!
Only downside was the noise from the pub across the street. it was really loud and went on until about 2 am, which might be tough for light sleepers or families.
